Our history actually has nothing to do with mountains or lakes. But you have to admit that is a breath-taking photo that my cousin took while blind-folded. Fuel For Change (FFC), however, was conceived when a (hairy) gas station manager (Bobak Bakhtiari) wanted his customers to give back to their communities, and to the world, simply by purchasing gasoline at his father's Shell service station. Originally called  Fuel For Charity in 2007, FFC raised over $7k for humanitarian organizations in that first year, through one member business. After a hiatus in activity from 2008-2012, the concept was further developed  with humanitarian Alex Nosnik, and in 2013, the operation resumed as Fuel For Change. In 2014, innovative entrepreneur and master inciter of significant change, Finnish-born Sari Stenfurs joined the team.

Through on site and other strategic social marketing, FFC offers our business clients the opportunity to use philanthropy to become more sincerely and sustainably connected to their communities and their customers. We remain a volunteer organization which means all moneys donated will go directly to beneficiaries and not towards administrative fees or activities.
